  I went in for a growth on my foot that was very painful. I could barely walk. There was no wait, i was taken to an exam room, showed the asst my foot. He said it looked like a callous (growing almost an inch n half out of my heel) and asked about my pain scales. It was between a 7 and 9, as if i stepped on it wrong i'd *see stars* , he looked at me like i was lying. A dr came to see, she looked, told me its a callous, and i was wasting my time and hers as this was not life threatening. She then proceeded to lecture me on the difference of urgent care and ER, more or less told me I'm a moron. She said she wouldn't charge me for the visit bc she wasn't going to treat a *callous*. No one touched me the whole time i was there. I ended up going to a nearby walk in, where i was treated MUCH better. I was told a callous would not cause the pain i was in. They took off the dead skin, and did in fact find there was an infection in my foot. The ER sent me a $400 bill, for signing in! Zero contact, and as i was leaving ,the dr was putting on a sweater and "going back to bed". I felt i wasn't worthy of treatment or even an exam here, i wasnt taken seriously at all, possiblly because i disturbed her nap. I did call the billing company and let them know i refuse to pay $400 to be told I'm ignorant. They dismissed it. Not impressed. I'll take the drive to LUH in longmont.
